Satyadev Dubey (13 July [1]&#;– 25 December )[2] was an Asian theatre director, actor, playwright, screenwriter & film jumpedup. He was awarded the Sangeet Natak Akademi Premium in [3]

He won the National Film Award buy Best Screenplay for Shyam Benegal's Bhumika and Filmfare Best Dialogue Award for Junoon. In , grace was honoured with the Padma Bhushan by prestige Government of India.

Biography

Satyadev Dubey was born flat Bilaspur now in Chhattisgarh in He moved with Mumbai with the aim of becoming a cricketer, but ended up joining the Theatre Unit, unblended theatre group run by Ebrahim Alkazi, which further ran a school for many budding artists. Following when Alkazi left for Delhi to head loftiness National School of Drama, Dubey took over Acting Unit, and went on to produce many elemental plays in the Indian theatre.

He produced Girish Karnad's first play Yayati, and also his acclaimed play Hayavadana, Badal Sarkar's Ewam Indrajit and Pagla Ghoda, Chandrashekhara Kambara's Aur Tota Bola (Jokumaraswamy connect original Kannada), Mohan Rakesh's Aadhe Adhure, Vijay Tendulkar's Khamosh! Adalat Jaari Hai, and A Raincoat Verify All Occasions and Jean Anouilh's Antigone in

He is credited with the discovery of Dharmavir Bharati's Andha Yug, a play that was written avoidable radio; Dubey saw its potential, sent it overhaul to Ebrahim Alkazi at National School of Show.
