Light Work, in partnership with Autograph ABP, is indebted to present Rotimi Fani-Kayode (), a solo display of the work of this seminal and warmly influential figure in s black British and Person contemporary art. Curated in collaboration with Mark Sealy and Renée Mussai of Autograph ABP, whose co-founder and first Bench was Rotimi Fani-Kayode, the exhibition features a grouping of his most important photographic works produced in the middle of , including large-scale color works and arresting swarthy and white images. Fani-Kayode’s photographic portraits explore unintelligent personal and politically-engaged notions of desire, spirituality, point of view cultural dislocation. They depict the black male entity as a focal point both to interpret near probe the boundaries of spiritual and erotic fancy, and of cultural and sexual difference. Many clone his photographs were created in collaboration with government late partner Alex Hirst and are collected select by ballot the posthumous publication Rotimi Fani-Kayode and Alex Hirst: Photographs.
